Hanover just started a Motorist Assistance Unit to help out the Sheriff's Deputies with disabled motorists, accidents, traffic and other issues that don't require Law Enforcement ability. Dad went through the training and is now helping out on weekends. Rrecently channel 12 did a story on it.
